And because that is at least partially true–if not completely so–I give you Dad at Comedy Barn.

The Comedy Barn is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Which means you should be reading this in Pigeon Forge-ian.

You start wondering at about 0:31 what the guy in the red button-up is looking at.  He seems to be a little distracted–and not by the comedian.

Then at 0:41, the guy in the red sweatshirt starts laughing hard enough to wipe a tear and you’re thinking it’s just not that funny.  And then you start thinking maybe being all in the spotlight and stuff could make a person giddy and nervous and likely to laugh a little more when you’re getting bopped on the head.

But at 1:26 it’s clear that something funny is going on and you want in on it.

Well–if you tell me you didn’t laugh as you watched this (at least until 4:00) I won’t believe you.
