A style your scarf idea
My name is Teresa and I’m a Pinaholic. Well–not really. I’m just thinking about the several gazillion pins I’ve tucked away for future reference on ways to style, knot, drape and wrap a scarf. The thing is, standing there in front of a mirror with a scarf in my hands and the notion that what I’m wearing would look fabulous with the scarf actually on [sigh] I couldn’t remember any of what I’d pinned. So here’s what I did. It’s a style your scarf idea.
Does that even make sense?
Okay–it’s a great sweater.
And that’s the scarf I wanted to wear with it already styled up and looking rather fabulous.
Here are a couple of my scarf-wearing considerations:
–It must be lightweight (I generally wear scarves for fashion, not for warmth).
–It can’t be tied tightly around my neck (it’s just a ‘thing’).
Which is why I didn’t want to take any of the length out of this scarf by tying any kind of knot.
Here’s what transpired as I looked in the mirror trying to figure out what to do with this really great green scarf.
–Wrapped it around my neck twice–loosely wrapped it, mind you.
–Grabbed one end of the scarf…
–and then the other.
–Searched for something I could wrap around the ends and wrapped it.
[I grabbed every stretchy whatever in the vicinity of my gaze.]
Just so you know, I even grabbed a ring and a bracelet just to see what they would look like.
[Yes that is a candy cane on the left side and dry, dry skin on the right.]
I didn’t use them with this outfit because the visual weight of the sweater was too much for these rather delicate accessories. They’ll be great for something lighter though–maybe a dress or a cardigan.
There are oh-so-many fun things you could use.
I’d love to hear what your easy-all-the-way ideas are for styling a scarf.
And that’s a wrap.
what do you think?
