Back-to-Basics: Six Outfits in 6 Minutes | March 8

I am all sorts of delighted to bring you the very first real and true WordPress blog post brought to you by moi. Not kidding. It happened. WordPress blog post.Tun-tun-tun-tah, right? [Very much tun-tun-tun-tah, folks.] It’s going to be a Back-to-Basics: Six Outfits in 6 Minutes (60-seconds if you’re just looking at pictures) post.

#1–ADORNit flower print maxi with black rope tie-belt | white Downeast basic tee

Back to basic March 5 1

It’s not at all how I would actually style the maxi, but I loved the pic for a couple of reasons:

1) Someone else took the photo.

2) I loved having a maxi twin. ~smile~

3) That ADORNit wall is fabulous.

#2–gray I Love Ronson 3/4 sleeve jacket with fauz leather collar | Downeast 1/2 tee | random coral stretch lace dress | mint ADORNit necklace | Downeast Jeans | gray patent leather flats

Have you ever seen a dress that you just loved, loved, loved? Great color, fit, and price–BUT–alack and alas it’s too short? Sometimes I will add an extender on underneath–and other times I’ll wear it as a tunic.

I love tunics.

Not enough to wear them every day of my life for sure, for certain–not even every other day–but I like wearing them.

[Okay–maybe every other day.]

~grin~

Here’s a close-up of the fantastic collar.

Here’s a closeup of the necklace.

#3–ADORNit tunic top | random bib necklace of awesome color | Old Navy jeans | Merona mustard yellow suede flats

That tunic. The details are oh so wonderful.

I saw it–tried it on–fell in love–and made the purchase. I wore it last week and added a 3/4 sleeve tee.

Like-like-likity like.

#4–plum Downeast tee | ADORNit vest (it was modified in a previous post-took the sleeves off) | ADORNit bauble necklace | Downeast jeans | gray UGG boots

#5–black sheath dress | extender (one of my favorites) | random bib necklace of awesome color | mint ADORNit belt–black and white Studio Y jacket–black pumps

The jacket is a size large that I modified (simple-shmimple modification) to fit a size medium.

Before you ask:

a) No, the belt doesn’t ‘match’ the necklace.  Doesn’t matter.

b) Yes, I tried to take the pics in a different room in the house to find better lighting.

[Welcome to our master bathroom–home of the nail polish incident that made it look like a crime scene.]

c) Yes, I have a new camera.

d) No, I don’t know how to use it, yet.

[But I’m hopeful.]

#6–ADORNit jacket of mint loveliness (the lace on the bottom is fabulous) | Banana Republic jeans (love the fit) | a lace tee (which you can’t even see) | brown Style & Co. boots

The reason you have a side view instead of a front view on this one is because it was a photograph of hideousness and despair. That being said, here is a tiny little photo of the ensemble from the front.

[And I mean tiny.]

You still can’t see the lace tee OR the necklace. Hmph.

[It wasn’t so much hideousness and despair as it was awkwardly photographed.]

Voila–here are the boots and the necklace I wore with the ensemble.

[Say “ensemble” with a British accent and it will make sense.]

And there you have it: Six outfits in six minutes (unless you’re just looking at photos and then it could be 60 seconds).

Oh–by the way.

There’s going to be a jubilant “I can’t believe the post has actually been posted” giveaway.

On Monday. Monday the 10th.

Boom.

Enjoy the day, blogging friends.

[And please do some dancing because it’s that kind of day.]

I’m about to click on “Publish” and can hardly stand it.

[Say that in an excited whisper for a real and true translation–with your hands on the sides of your face and your eyes all wide.]

Click.
