Bibbidy-bobbidy-boo - Sweet Creek Moon

Because of the several hundred ‘back-to-school’ pictures that have been posted on the internet in the last week I had a longing to add one of my own.

Every time I look at this photo I want to weep. He’s just growing up so fast.

I didn’t catch a picture of me in my back-to-school garb–but you can be certain it was cute. (‘Cuz why you gon be buyin’ clothes if you don looks good in ’em?) That last part is begging–BeGGiNg–to be read in a sassy southern accent. Go back and give it a try.

And then record it and send it to me. Yeh-yeh.

I don’t have a picture of the outfit–but–I do have a picture of the necklace I wore.

Well–the necklaces and earring (that’s right: earring) that I wore.

I have two sets of pearls/beads/pretty spheres that are the same length.

I also have this earring. It’s a fabulous color of soft yellow.

Now . . .

Put them together and what have you got?

I clipped the earring over one of the clasps–it worked.

I clipped it over both of the clasps–it worked as well.

I prefer the earring clipped over one clasp, because it was less wobbly.

Tun-tah!

It’s rather lovely–and–the earring didn’t once fall off.

However (just to be clear and lest you misunderstand), I didn’t wear it to an amusement park, or compete in the Olympics (in ANY event), or go horseback riding. ~smile~

I have more earrings I’m going to try.

The combination of yellow on the red is quite lovely.

In other news–the catastrophic kind of news one finds difficult to bear–the anticipated reign of Pumpkin has been significantly affected by the local ~~dumb-dumb head~~ deer (who are not dear by any stretch of the imagination). They have deliberately and naughtily consumed a portion of his pumpkin self.

I am at this very moment [pause for effect] unable to be consoled.

snork. sob. glob. snerk.

Wait. Neighbor kids? Hungry little neighbor kids.

With super long teeth.

Naaaaahh.

~sheesh~

And yes, dumb-dumb is a potty word.

Glad I took a picture before those naughty gnawers wrought their mischief.

I can dance myself through this affliction.

Love the yellow earring idea. I bet it looked fabulous on you. Soooo….what outfit did you wear it with? Was it red? 🙂

Hah–thanks. I wore an ivory pleated skirt, an ivory lace top, and an ivory and red floral cardigan. With yellow shoes. ~smile~

Dang. I’m done reading all the blog posts. That was just a delightful way to spend some slow time at work. Sigh, guess I have to do something less-delightful now.
