Porch blooms and freezing temperatures

Porch blooms and freezing temperatures.

The porch blooms come every Sunday morning. They are there when we open the door. It started on Sunday out of the blue and didn’t seem all that different. ~smile~ Not because we always have surprises on our front porch–but–because we live in a neighborhood of generous people. The first few blooms were delightful, but unanticipated. Unexpected.

I had no idea that it would turn into something quite extraordinary.

By the fifth week of this Sunday morning generosity, we started to look forward to waking up to see if they were still giving. It has been a little bit like a birthday. A birthday that comes once a week, four times every month.

Someone is remembering us.

That’s a big deal. It’s a really big deal.

How in the world do you thank a group of anonymous givers for the blessing they have been in your life. How?

Uhmm. Thank you for remembering me.

Thanks for seeing me.

~smile~

Isn’t that the kind of thing we humans love about each other? We spend time with the people who “see” us.

This little Peanut Butter Bunch sees us-and it has been a gift.

This message is brought to you by the letter

and the letter

and by the number

-Here’s why. The Peanut Butter Bunch has been clearly creative and capable crew has been consistently kind for 32 consecutive weeks.

[At least 32 weeks.]

Consistently kind.

[I find it difficult to be consistently anything–especially kind–for even 32 consecutive minutes. I was probably kind for a grand total of 32 minutes in all of the month of December.  Cumulative kindness–not as impressive.]

~sheesh~

This was Sunday’s bloom.

I have never once in my long-legged life thought that I would ever be delighted to find a hippopotamus on my porch.

[Please be aware that I am aware that you are aware that ‘long-legged’ is a relative term in many instances.  Many instances exactly like this one.]

I call this little group of givers The Peanut Butter Bunch because the blooms generally come in an empty peanut butter jar.

That’s a lot of peanut butter.

That’s a lot of kindness.

I am Sweet Creek Moon and I approve this message.
