Six outfits in 6 minutes–Boom | April 19

These Six Outfits in 6 Minutes posts were supposed to be a speedy fasto way to blog. Ideally it would be Six Outfits in 6 Minutes written in 16 minutes. Or something like that. Quickity-quick. Except that they’re not quickity-quick. At all. ~sigh~ After I download a week’s worth of pics onto the computer I find myself just wanting to look at photos that family and friends have sent, and the ones I’ve taken. I love the people I get to associate with, and live by, and work with. And live with. [That would be Handsome Dude.] My extraordinarily miniscule part of this universe is occupied by some remarkable people. There are days when I feel so grateful for people–including the ones that drive in the left lane when they are going the speed of a turtle slogging its way backwards through mud. I’m a kinder human being during those grateful blocks of time. Okay. Maybe there are blocks of time [minutes, maybe] within those days when I feel grateful. [And I haven’t figured out how to be grateful for the left lane hogs of the universe. I’m working on that.]

Feeling grateful is the quickest way I know how to remedy feeling selfish, greedy, unkind, or even lonely. That’s how it works for me, anyway.

Back to the quickity-quick dream of Six Outfits in 6 Minutes written in 16 minutes.

Go.

#1–It’s one of my favorites. I opted to wear this dress/tunic as a dress this go around. [I will certainly wear it as a tunic at some point.] It needed some length–but–NO fulness, thank you. This extender worked perfectly. The black flats have a little bit-but-not-too-much bling on the toe. The dress/tunic pattern is so active and vibrant it really doesn’t need a necklace.  I added one anyway–and it worked.

#2–Cardigans are my friends. That goes without saying, I imagine. They are a great way to add color, sleeves, or just change things up a bit. The jumper is a great color and is comfortable. The wedges I’m wearing are F A B U L O U S. So very fabulous. [Handsome Dude is yards taller than I am–slight exaggeration–he’s taller than I am which means I can wear heels and wedges all the live-long day without surpassing him stature-wise.]

six outfits 2 april 19The picture is woefully inadequate as far as showing you those shoes. I’m fairly certain it’s intentional considering the unpainted state of my tootsie’s.

#3–The frilly piece of lace loveliness is a dress.  A dress. A teeny-tiny little short dress. To wear it as a dress, the extender would have needed to be as long as a one-story building is high. So much space between my knee and the hem. ~smile~ I took courage–grabbed a well-loved pair of jeans from my closet and voila! Paired with a cardi [I previously mentioned my fondness for them] some gray flats aaaand I’m sure I’ll wear it again.

#4–This oversized sweater is a favorite one.  That bear with a scarf on the front. Eerp. Love it. Paired with a mint necklace and sparkly toed flats, it made for a comfy-cute spring outfit.

#5--Alrighty. Let’s just start a campaign: Cardigan for president–because he would win around here. The lace bodice babydoll top is adorable (if I can say such a thing about something that I wear–you know–not being a 3-year old and all). The bow. Love. The lace. Love. It’s just adorable. That is all. I can pair it with any cardi–any necklace–any anything I want. Except like a frilly skirt or something. Eww. A pencil skirt–maybe. Hmm.

#6–Here we have a springy-summery tunic top of loveliness. The delightful part about this tunic is having a ruffle on the hem without having any petticoat fullness. [Because I’m not a three-year old and fluffy just starts to look awkward at some point. Unless you’re square dancing and you have those ruffled pettipant things on and you’re approximately 102 years old and everyone is so impressed that you’re even keeping up with the hilly-billy fiddler that they smile and smile and applaud. Otherwise you look ridiculous AND awkward.]

And there you have it. Six outfits in 6 Minutes–if you’re just looking at pictures.

I hope that one or two of you have noticed that I didn’t lop my head off in every picture. Purposeful anti-head lopping campaign. When YOU speak. I listen. [Except for the noticeable lack of a couple of tutorials that I’m still working on.]

~grin~
