National Opposite Day
And if you aren’t aware–but you are–you’ll celebrate–but won’t.
Button, button, who’s got the button? Well–that will be me when I’m done with my pair of button bottoms.
I don’t think I would ever take them off. Too splendid not to be worn.
And these–oh they are heavenly: glitter emergency pills.
On those days when you feel completely overwhelmed by anything–like the weather, or an ill-fitting pair of pants, 14 days of pneumonia, or not doing well on an exam, spiders crawling on your carpet, losing your job, or breaking out in hives–these glittery capsules–once opened–will brighten even the dreariest of souls. It’s just that simple.
Sad? Open–toss–rejoice.
Everything is better with glitter on it.
And here’s a tutorial that won’t take much time and will be totally worth every moment you spend making them.
Sugar Cookies with a SuRpRiSe inside.
Here’s a synopsis of the insructions for the cookies:
–Make the dough
–Color the dough
–Layer the dough
–Wait
[which is the perfect time to work on the Button Bottoms I mentioned before]
–Bake the cookies
[And then you’re done. Except you’re not.]
–Cut the cookies
–Create the hidden pocket
–Assemble the pinata cookies
[And then find a little corner to curl up in and rock back and forth as you watch your guests destroy–because they want to see what’s inside–the six to eight cookies this recipe will make. Six to eight cookies.]
~sheesh~
Please tell me you realize that I would not–as in definitely not–spend a moment sewing, crafting or baking any of these items.
You should watch this song with a child in close proximity–like on your lap. It’s delightful. And I actually mean that.
what do you think?
