Let us bathe in the glow of misunderstanding

Call me crazy, but I am in love, love, love with presidential campaigning. I adore it.  It’s a super wonderful, extremely efficient way to gather interesting bits and pieces of information needed to make a thoughtful, educated decision about who should be the boss of this country.

[By-the-way.  Be certain to pick up an accent as you read this.  In fact, if you haven’t been reading with an accent–like a New York accent–you should start again. I’m not kidding. It’s going to make a difference.]

My heart can not keep from singing as I skip through the dizzying array of meaningful, quotable, postable opinions.

Oh yes.  Oh yes, indeed, I will listen to each resolute assertion; each sustained economic position and posit and explanation.

[You’ve got your accent going, right?]

And I rejoice that there are days–nay, weeks, my friends–ahead of soothing, sweet sounds of confidence and honor gently falling from the lips of our candidates and all who represent them.

Let every distraction, every imprecise word be spread throughout this great and industrious land.

[At this point I think it would be appropriate to clasp your hands together meaningfully as a point of emphasis as you read–which means you might need to start again.]

I will bathe in the glow of misunderstanding.

I will bask in the warmth of general disinterest for actual issues.

Bring on the memes, the misrepresetations, and the political cartoons.

~sigh~

I won’t say another word about it.

Except for this.

We’ve exactly this much time until the happy elections.

~grin~

I should probably post a picture here to keep your interest.

This is the perfect presidential-campaigning-season-of-wonder picture.  It’s hideous.  Except from a distance–and then it’s just old.

~smile~

I hope my shoulder angels show up during decision making time.

And there’s enough music to do a dramatic little jig.

So jig. ~grin~

I love your post and could hear you saying it with an accent, of course! Sigh

I love it when people comment–so thank you for doing that as well as reading the blog. Thanks.

Oh my gosh. Love this. Love you. Although I have a horrific NY accent, so I switched over to British about half way through. Totally worth the switch. I’m off to do my dramatic jig.

I wish there was some way to have people record themselves reading the blog aloud. That would be awesome~ =0]
