Serendipity

Serendipity: a “happy accident” or “pleasant surprise”; the accident of finding something good or useful while not specifically searching for it.

Hm.

Handsome Dude asked if I wanted to go look at rocks–which isn’t at all such an odd request when you consider that we are trying to put in a rock wall (not for climbing) in our backyard.

We need to finish our backyard.  Well–we need some semblence of a backyard at all–but that is an entirely different blog, my friends–an entirely different blog.

Back to serendipity.

We went rock hunting.  In October.

Which means one thing and one thing only: Happy RoCk-tober 4th.

Apparently the rock that I am exuberantly posed on weighs approximately 8 tons. That’s only slightly more than I feel on some days. HaH.

[Google note:  A typical half ton truck (Chevy 1500, Ford f-150, etc) weighs anywhere from 2.25 tons to 2.75 tons (4500-5500#).]

That’s a LOT of rock.

And I’m a little bit smiling because I added that particular link to this blog.

Another spot of autumn brilliance.

I could be referring to the shadow.

I’m likely not. ~grin~

Happy RoCk-tober 4th.
