The number ten

This post is brought to you by the number ten.

Ten words that don’t exist in the English language (but we say them anyway):

1–expecially
2–irrelevant
3–unthaw
4–supposebly
5–pronounciation
6–excape
7–excetera
8–Febyuary
9–heighth
10–jewlery

Ten things to do when it rains (among other things):

1–listen
2–bake
3–read a book
4–watch the debate
5–color
6–write
7–plan
8–jump in puddles
9–eat soup from a bowl made out of bread
10–type

Ten of my favorite words to say:

1–chimichanga
2–honorificabilitudinitatibus (How is that not a bright spot in your day?)
3–recapitulate
4–reciprocity
5–discombobulated
6–plethora
7–elocution
8–purposefully
9–delightful
10–surreptitiously

There will be a test.

Ten things I’m grateful for:

1–electricity
2–dictionaries
3–second, third and fourth chances
4–rain
5–large cardboard boxes
6–opportunities
7–the delete key
8–consistency
9–people
10–lemon water

And–the actual factual reason I thought to say anything about the number ten in the first place is (tun-tun-tun-tah):

I finished ten projects today.

Which means (roughly translated) that the ‘give-away’ box has more in it–and–the ‘sell-on-ebay’ pile is higher.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

Happy Squawk-tober 22.

“Strange as it may seem, I still hope for the best, even though the best, like an interesting piece of mail, so rarely arrives, and even when it does it can be lost so easily.”
