Walk-tober
BoOm.
Not bomb boom. Not big boom. Not bang boom.
Wide-eyed-all-sparkly-disbelieving-astonished-riding-a-roller-coaster-butterflies-in-the-pit-of-your-stomach kind of BoOm.
I might have mentioned just how exquisite the canyons are around here this time of year.
Well–I know I did.
And those are the real and true colors. (Except if your computer monitor makes it look in any way drab or dull or blah. Those wouldn’t be the real and true colors.)
And who doesn’t love a pow (or a punch or a pop) of pumpkin color in a patch, on a porch, or in a little pile in front of your local grocery store?
Note: The pumpkins are seasonal. The adorable like pumpkin patch girls are not. ~smile~
But it’s not solely the sights of autumn that are extraordinary.
I also love the scents of fall. I’ve pinned quite a few recipes on Pinterest simply because I can imagine how they would fill our house with the most. delicious. aroma.
Like this one:
(I can smell the deliciousness just by looking at the picture of the deliciousness.)
And this one:
And because the Handsome Dude loves Nutella, this one:
Don’t think for a minute that I am the baker of the world–because I’m not. But I’m going to try at least one of these recipes. Maybe two. (I’ll just look at the picture of the third one.)
Which brings me to another BoOm of the season: the sounds.
Particularly this one.
I’ve made a goal for myself. It’s going to be ‘Walk-tober’ for me. I’m taking a walk–taking my camera (well–taking my iPhone)–and taking a photo. And posting it.
Just for the fun of it.
Join me if you’re up for it. If you already walk, add one bit more to the mix. Invite someone to go with you. Offer to walk your neighbor’s dog for them. Go a different route. Sing. Take a camera with you. Skip for a portion of the distance.
This is definitely skipping weather.
And it would be delightful to hear what you decide to do if you do decide to do something. ~grin~
what do you think?
