Butter-flavor Pam and nail polish

I’m occasionally going to post blogs about things that I’ve pinned–and–tested.

Pinned ‘n’ Tested.

Pinterest could very well be true.

[Real Simple is the sight she went to for the idea to try it.]

Here’s the claim:

–paint your fingernails (I painted my toenails)

–spray your freshly painted nails with Pam (she used Original–I had Butter Flavor in my cupboard)

–wipe (seriously wipe–don’t dab–wipe) the Pam off and Tun-Tun-Tun-Tah!

Your nails are supposed to be dry.

Seemed a little too easy and a lotta odd.

I want to wear open toed shoes tomorrow (there are three little piggies who need a quick slap of polish before that happens), and I need to go to bed.

So I tried it.

I painted those three piggies–grabbed the Butter Flavor Pam–went outside–and sprayed my toes with it.

I turned right around, walked back into the house, grabbed a napkin and wiped the polish to see if she was a liar-liar pants on fire girl.

Uhm.  The polish was dry. Duh-ruh-eye.

Her pants will not be spontaneously bursting into flames.

Because I live on the edge of danger and excitement, I decided to paint a layer of glitter on top of the now completely dry first layer.  I glitter-fied them–grabbed the Butter Flavor Pam–went outside–and sprayed my toes with it.

Then–I turned right around, walked back in to the house, grabbed the napkin that I’d used previously (we are super concientious about conservation and stuff around here–plus we are super kind to animals) and wiped the nails.

Can I just say that Pam is leaving the pantry building and moving to the Beauty-of-me building because it worked.

The final test–the sock test.

I painted my toes with blue polish–sprayed them with Pam–wiped it off–dry.

I painted them with some glitter polish–sprayed them with Pam–wiped it off–dry.

Sock on.

It has been 10 minutes (I began the blog with the socks on).

In three-two-one: sock off. BoOm!

Lovely.

This is going to be part of my painting nails routine until the end of time.

Oh yeah–there’s the unanticipated and delightful bonus of smelling like a delicious butter cookie the whole day long.

Happy October 12th.
